LaLiga has increased the value of its brand by 15% compared to last year, according to the BrandZ Kantar ranking, an annual list of the 30 most valuable Spanish brands.

According to data provided by the consultancy firm, LaLiga has reached its highest value, at a company level, in four years. In 2020, in fact, it was included for the first time in the ranking of the most valuable brands in Spain. Kantar estimates the company’s brand value at $1.653 billion.
Angel Fernandez, LaLiga’s director of global brand and strategy, said: “The strategic revolution that our company and brand underwent last year has allowed us to consolidate our position at the top of the consumer rankings as a leader in entertainment sector. We will continue to work in this direction, inspiring our fans and making them part of the wonderful football ecosystem we have today.”
Zara, Movistar and Iberdrola are in command
Overall, the value of the 30 largest Spanish brands in the Kantar BrandZ 2024 ranking grew by 12% compared to last year and now exceeds $100 billion. This is the highest annual growth rate recorded in the Spanish ranking in the last five years. The companies at the top of the ranking remain Zara (with a value of 24.966 billion dollars), Movistar (13.024 billion dollars) and Iberdrola (9.709 billion dollars).
To draw up the ranking, Kantar takes into consideration both the financial performance of each brand and consumers’ judgment of its value.
