The TV series āXuanwumenā, which presents the inheritance of traditional culture in modern times, has officially launched. Covering the period from 1898 to 1945, āXuanwumenā delves into historical events such as the Reform Movement of 1898, the Eight-Power Allied Forcesā invasion of China, and the Anti-Japanese War. Director Wang Xiaokang noted that the focus of the series is on an ordinary family in Beijing, highlighting the changes in Chinese history through the lens of one familyās fate and the preservation of traditional Chinese culture amidst tumultuous times.
The series follows jade carving artist Li Yunmian (played by Zhang Fengyi) as he creates a unique jade pomegranate that symbolizes Chinaās national destiny.
