Apple Set to Release iOS 18 at WWDC in June: Largest Upgrade in History
Kuai Technology reported on March 25 that Apple is gearing up to release new systems at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. Among the updates, iOS 18 has been generating the most buzz, with many insiders calling it the largest upgrade in the history of iOS.
According to the latest news from Mark Gurman, iOS 18 will introduce a “customization” option for the desktop, allowing users to tailor their experience for maximum convenience. Additionally, AI will play a key role in this version, with improvements across the system. Siri, in particular, will see significant enhancements and shed its previous limitations.
Sources indicate that Apple may be looking to incorporate a chatbot function through the use of the Google Gemini large model, with Baidu potentially serving as the domestic partner for this feature.
Given the regulatory requirements in China, all large models must be approved before being launched. More than 40 large models have already received approval, including Baidu Wenxinyiyan, Alibaba Tongyi Qianwen, and iFlytek Spark. The national version of the Samsung S24 series has also integrated AI functions supported by Baidu, suggesting a similar model for iOS.
As Apple prepares for the unveiling of iOS 18 at WWDC, tech enthusiasts and consumers alike are eager to see the extent of the upgrades and innovations that will be introduced. For those interested in reprinting this article, please be sure to credit the source: Kuai Technology.
