The Ministry of Social Welfare in Castilla-La Mancha is undergoing training for its teams on the application of a new scale for assessing degrees of disability. The training sessions, led by the general director of Disability, Francisco Armenta, included about thirty professionals from various fields such as Medicine, Psychology, and Social Work.
According to the counselor, Bárbara García, the new disability scale is more complex than the previous one, but it is expected to streamline the assessment process. The number of people with recognized degrees of disability in the region has been steadily increasing, with over 164,000 individuals currently registered compared to 114,000 in 2015.
The implementation of the new scale is aimed at improving the accuracy and efficiency of disability assessments in Castilla-La Mancha. The Ministry of Social Welfare is committed to ensuring that individuals with disabilities receive the necessary support and resources to lead fulfilling lives.
