It has been nearly 10 months since the announcement. Xbox Series X and Series S finally officially support Dolby Vision. It is expected that more than 100 games will already support Dolby Vision HDR. Microsoft said that thanks to Dolby Vision technology, more than a thousand games will get HDR10 or Auto HDR image quality.
To get the most complete visual experience, Xbox Series X and Series S users need to pair a TV that supports Dolby Vision, and has an automatic low-latency mode and variable update rate. Microsoft pointed out that under the best conditions, the highlight brightness of the game screen will be increased by 40 times, the black depth will be increased by 10 times, and it has 12 bits of color depth, and Dolby Vision can work with ray tracing and other functions.
Microsoft said that game developers will receive assistance from Dolby and Xbox so that they can make full use of Dolby Vision. They will also work with TV manufacturers to launch a Dolby Vision firmware update that supports 120Hz.
