The lawyers of the brothers Salvatore and Walter Tuttolomondo, former patron of the old Palermo declared bankrupt under their management in 2019, raised the legitimate suspicion for a possible environmental conditioning that would prevent the peaceful continuation of the trial.
The lawyers of the Tuttolomondo base the request on threats received on social networks and on a theft suffered. The judge for the preliminary hearing, Simone Alecci, sent the documents to the Supreme Court which will decide whether to leave the trial in Palermo or whether it should be assigned to a different judge than the one with territorial jurisdiction.
For Salvatore and Walter Tuttolomondo in October arrests were triggered for fraudulent bankruptcy, undue tax compensation with non-existent credits, self-laundering and reuse of money, forgery and obstacle to the supervisory functions of the Supervisory Commission on football clubs. The investigations are coordinated by the deputy prosecutor Salvatore De Luca and the substitutes Dario Scaletta and Andrea Fusco.
