United States, sixth-grade girl shoots in a school in Idaho: three injured

by admin

Two students and an adult were injured in a middle school shooting in Rigby, Idaho. The suspect is a sixth-grade student: the girl would have extracted the weapon from her backpack and started shooting in the school corridor, and then flee.

A teacher managed to block her and take the weapon from her. All the students were evacuated to the nearby high school. “This is the worst nightmare a school system can live with,” said district school superintendent Chad Martin. The girl was arrested. Two students have been hospitalized and will be observed overnight. The adult was discharged.
