[Epoch Times December 12, 2021](Epoch Times reporter Zhang Ting comprehensive report) Although the Russian-Ukrainian crisis has caused Western speculation about whether Putin will attack Ukraine, when the foreign minister of the Group of Seven (G7) was in Liverpool, England this weekend ( When meeting with Liverpool), officials at the meeting said that the discussion on China issues at the meeting was very intense.

According to Reuters, Putin’s Ukrainian threat was the direct tactical focus of the talks between US Secretary of State Blincoln and other foreign ministers in the G7. But the 69-year-old Putin was only the focus of short-term threats at the G7 foreign ministers’ meeting, while Xi Jinping was the strategic problem that every foreign minister present. The United States and other G7 allies are seeking a consistent response to the increasingly arbitrary CCP leader.

An official who participated in the meeting said, “Especially the discussion about China is very, very intense.”

A State Department official revealed that the foreign ministers discussed the situation in Hong Kong, the Xinjiang region, and the importance of peace across the Taiwan Strait; another State Department official said, “This meeting is so focused on the Indo-Pacific region. It’s great.”

The meeting also discussed the need to support Lithuania. After the Taiwan representative office in Lithuania was launched on November 18, the CCP launched retaliation against Lithuania, not only reducing diplomatic relations with the country, but also suspending consular services.

“We have made it clear at the meeting this weekend that we are concerned about China’s (CCP) coercive economic policies.” British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss told reporters, “and what we have to do is Establish the scope of investment, economy and trade in a democratic country that is like-minded and loves freedom.”

The report pointed out that the G7 wants to act together on the China issue, but it will not look like an anti-China club.

Western officials say that the group of seven nations still has a strong influence: it has an economic influence of about 40 trillion U.S. dollars, including three of the world‘s five official nuclear powers.

Officials said that the G7 will take coordinated actions to combat the CCP’s false information and support those countries that fall into the CCP’s global debt trap network.

On Wednesday (December 8), Canada joined Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States in a diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics. Japan and Germany have yet to make a decision. The CCP has stated that it “will make these countries pay the price.”

In response to Russia’s military build-up on the Ukrainian border, a senior US State Department official said that if Russia makes a very bad choice, what actions the Western countries will take, there is a lot of consensus among the G7 countries at the meeting.

The West fears that Russia may be preparing to attack Ukraine. The Kremlin denies the plan to invade Ukraine, but requires the West to provide legally binding security guarantees to ensure that NATO will not further expand eastward.

According to media reports, the G7 foreign ministers will also issue a joint statement on Sunday to seek to prevent the Kremlin from taking military actions against Ukraine.
