EV headlines on Wall Street. Tesla’s + 10% is making noise after the giant founded by Elon Musk reported deliveries of 308,600 vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2021, beating both its previous record and analysts’ expectations. For the full year, deliveries totaled 936,172 cars, up 87% year-on-year.
NIO also did very well (+ 4.45% at $ 33.09) which in turn reported record deliveries. In December 10,489 vehicles were delivered, + 49.7% on an annual basis. In the quarter, the total was 25,034 cars, with + 44.3% on an annual basis and total sales for 2021 were 91,429 (+ 109%) for the Chinese startup.
On the other hand, XPeng is down (-1.49%) which announced 2021 deliveries for 98,155 units, + 263% on an annual basis.
