“The Russians crossed the bridge. Our army is in retreat. At this moment I see the bombs flying over the sky ”. These are the words of Sasha, a 30-year-old Ukrainian citizen who lives in Kherson, in southern Ukraine, with his wife and young daughter. She writes them to us at 6.30 pm on Friday on Whatsapp. Since Thursday 24 February their lives have changed, their normality swept away by the Russian columns that appeared on the other side of the Dnipro river at 5 in the morning.
