State Department: Putin put an end to this bloodbath
(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 03 – The United States accused Russia of having launched a “total war on media freedom and truth” by blocking independent newspapers and preventing the Russians from accessing news on the invasion of Ukraine . This was stated in a statement from the US State Department.
“The Russian government is also limiting the Twitter, Facebook and Instagram platforms on which tens of millions of citizens rely to access independent information and opinions”, the note reads, recalling that the Russians also used social media to connect with each other and with the outside world.
The US State Department has called on Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Moscow government to “end this bloodbath” immediately and withdraw troops from Ukraine. (HANDLE).
