Oxford, via the portrait of Elizabeth II: “It’s colonialist”

LONDON – Culture of cancellation or freedom of thought? The dilemma raised in the last year to the sound of demolished statues and disputed symbols is repeated at the University of Oxford, where the students of Magdalen College voted to remove a portrait of the Queen Elizabeth as a symbol of the British colonial past.
