MACALL (ETHIOPIA) – In an important turning point in the civil war that has raged for eight months in Tigray, the northern region of Ethiopia, the Tigrinya guerrillas began to enter the capital on Monday evening: the troops of the central government withdrew from the city. The Ethiopian army has occupied the region since November, after invading it in concert with Eritrean forces and militias to wrest control from the regional government.
