Fintech, the call for Cdp’s acceleration program is underway

by admin

If the Milan Hub of the Bank of Italy aims to be the place for designing new ideas in the fintech field and the regulatory sandbox wants to represent the environment in which to experiment innovative ideas at the crossroads between technology and finance, at least partially, of regulatory obligations, now comes the third column that aims to consolidate the Italian fintech ecosystem, the one that aims to accompany startups on the path of transformation towards a real entrepreneurial reality.
In fact, the call for the selection of startups that intend to participate in the acceleration path Fin + Tech, the fintech and insurtech accelerator of the Cdp Accelerators National Network, started from an initiative of Cdp Venture Capital together with Digital Magics, Startupbootcamp, Fintech District and Sia.
From today until November 15, 2021, startups operating in the fintech and insurtech fields will be able to apply to take part in the selection that will give access to a four-month acceleration program, with the support of a network of mentors, sector corporations and the venture capital world.
The project aims to encourage collaboration between startups and companies in the financial and insurance fields, with the dual objective of growing and perfecting startup solutions and accelerating the digital transformation of companies. To date, Anima Sgr, Banca Mediolanum, BnlL Gruppo Bnp Paribas, Bnp Paribas Cardif, Compass, Credito Fondiario, Excellence Consulting and Reale Group have joined the program as Corporate Partner.
The institutional partner of the initiative is Consob, through its Consob Tech working group, aimed at supporting technological innovation in the fintech field.
Fin + Tech is a three-year program, which plans to accelerate 16 startups per year (8 in the fintech field and 8 in insurtech) for a total of 48 startups selected on criteria related to growth potential and the ability to address the main innovation challenges of companies in the banking and insurance sector.
The startups in the pre-seed and seed phase that will participate in the Fin + Tech program will receive initial funding and constant support from the accelerator’s partners, in a path that will guide them towards the validation of their business model. Finally, better teams will have access to additional funding already allocated by the promoters of the initiative.
