ROMA – The desire for campers of Italians and beyond does not stop. According to the data relating to the first half, released by the Caravan and RV Manufacturers Association, over 4,800 new registrations were registered in the Belpaese in the period from January 1st to June 30th, an increase of 38.36% compared to the same period in 2020.

Within the data relating to new registrations, the share represented by the so-called van motorhomes stands out, totaling 37.3% of the entire registration of the first six months of 2021. A success, that of the van camper, due to its characteristics of practicality and manageability that allow it to be used also as a second car in the family environment. Furthermore, many new motorhomers have approached the world of motorhomes precisely through vans which, although with smaller dimensions than traditional models, equally offer comfort and complete equipment.

To underline the good performance of the sector there is also the Italian production of motorhomes which in the first half of the year surpassed all previous production records (+ 75.16% compared to the first six months of 2020) confirming itself in third place in Europe, behind Germany and France.
