Crea is currently focused on the character of the plant’s re-flowering. and the aroma of the fruit, as evidenced by a recent variety, which recalls the precious wild strawberry “. There will be 15 plenary sessions, over 30 in parallel, 120 oral presentations and 180 posters for the event that aims to be the meeting point between the academic / scientific and industrial aspects of strawberries on an international scale. This year, moreover, the symposium will give the opportunity to get to know the Italian strawberry, from north to south, with the possibility of viewing the tours of the various companies on the online platform. All the “hot” topics of research will be addressed: from the impact of climate change to cultivation techniques, from varietal innovation to genetics and biotechnologies up to health benefits for the consumer. The approach will be not only theoretical, but also practical, through the technical day and the “Berry School”. “I welcome with great favor – declares Undersecretary Mipaaf Francesco Battistoni – the return to Italy of the international strawberry symposium. Thirty years later, our country will return to host the most important scientific event on strawberries in the world“. Almost 800 registrations, coming from all over the world, with a real boom – about 300 – registered in China. For the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs Manlio Di Stefano, “scientific research on the agri-food sector is a traditional excellence of Italy. Furthermore, agri-food production is fueled by scientific research and the Italian one is also for this reason among the most sustainable in the world“. (ITALPRESS). ads / com 23-Apr-21 15:08
