The European Commission today gave the green light to the extension, until the end of next June, of the aid plan for Italian companies affected by the effects of the measures taken to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. The green light in Brussels follows the first authorization given in May 2020 to Italy’s plan which should have closed on 31 December last. Its extension was accompanied by operational changes and an increase in available resources, which rose from 12.5 to 15 billion euros. The new go-ahead from the Commission contemplates the changes that have occurred in the meantime.
