Third: securing skilled workers. We will not solve the problem separately in every federal state, despite our best efforts. We need federal synchronized swimming instead of a state race. The fact that we improve the position of individual professional groups country by country does not mean that the pool of skilled workers will increase. We need more skilled workers nationwide. To do this, on the one hand, we have to make an effort to get the people who live here, be it through qualifications or opportunities to increase the number of women in the labor force, or through lifelong learning. And on the other hand, this will not be possible without strong immigration.
