After a bomb threat at Euroairport Basel-Mühlhausen (EAP) early on Sunday morning, the airport was reopened at midday. In the meantime, the terminal had been evacuated, as Euroairport announced on its website.
The prefecture of the Haut-Rhin department in Upper Alsace announced on the short message service X that there was no longer any danger for the staff and passengers. The security services had given the all-clear.
The airport announced that flight operations will gradually be ramped up again. Passengers were asked to contact their airline for information about their flight.
Flight operations were temporarily stopped completely. Access to the airport was also no longer possible from shortly before 6 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Last October there were a number of false bomb threats at Euroairport airport. As a result, the airport had to be evacuated temporarily.
