Numismatics is a niche economic sector, but in continuous growth, which has not suffered setbacks even during the pandemic: this is confirmed by the numbers of the two-day sale of Aste Bolaffi, organized in Turin on 27 and 28 May , which ended with an overall result of almost 4 million euros, including rights, and 90% of the lots sold. Numerous achievements with four zeros, in particular for two coins sold at over 100,000 euros each, and seven lots at more than 50,000 euros each, and record of Italian and foreign participation, especially from the United States, the Arab Emirates, China and Japan.
Thus Gabriele Tonello, Head of Numismatics of Aste Bolaffi: “In recent months the traditional face-to-face trade has ceased, due to the difficulties in carrying out traditional commercial activities and the suspension of international fairs, online auctions have become the vehicle of primary purchase for numismatic collectors “.
