Low floor for easy access

The vehicles will be 25 meters long, with 66 seats available and bidirectional, to allow reversing in case of need and the optimization of the newly built tram terminus. They are equipped with so-called “pivoting” trolleys, which allow better management of curves and a reduction in noise emissions, thus improving travel comfort. Tramlink will also be fully accessible as it is equipped with low floor, to make it easier for passengers with motor disabilities to get on and off.

The purchase of these trams is part of Atm’s broader investment plan which provides for the renewal of the entire fleet of buses, trams and trolley buses, with the aim of supporting the ongoing ecological transition process of the company and of Milan. By the end of 2021, the green fleet in circulation will consist of 170 electric buses, 154 hybrids and 3 hydrogen, in addition to the new 30 “Trollino” trolleybuses, already in service.
