Four important steps for the redevelopment of Bagnoli. Perhaps the most significant change concerns the hypothesis of a settlement which tomorrow, Wednesday 8 June, will be presented to the judge of the bankruptcy section of the Court of Naples dealing with the Bagnolifutura case. It is hoped to thus close the disputes that for years have blocked the relaunch of the former Italsider citadel. First of all the dispute with Fintecna, owner of some land to be reclaimed.
New localization for City of Science
Another very thorny issue that has seen the Municipality of Naples face each other for years – which supported the need to rebuild the museum destroyed by the fire in 2013 in an area inside the coast line – and the Idis Foundation which wanted the Museum on the ashes of old right by the sea. Today, a twist, it is the Idis Foundation that proposes a third way: to build not on the coast, but in the area now used as a parking lot which, moreover, would not require any reclamation and, therefore, would allow construction in a shorter time. Hypothesis on which the entire control room (minister, mayor, Municipality of Naples, Campania Region, police station and Invitalia) has given willingness to verify compatibility with the plans for Bagnoli (Praru). The final decision will have to come in a short time. The work will have to be entrusted by the end of the year, otherwise the funding from the Development and Cohesion Fund will be revoked.
Disposal of asbestos and first openings
The asbestos remediation of the former Eternit area will be completed by the end of July. This is the largest and most important of the (few) areas that have been completely reclaimed. Area where the construction of public and private residences is planned. Also in July, a piece of Bagnoli opens up to the city: the north pier, the pine forest and some parking areas entrusted to Anm.
New remediation and projects
The police station also authorized Invitalia to entrust the reclamation of the Sport Park and the land lot closest to the ordinary road system. And it approved the renovation of the energy services project: the aim is to create a totally green system, which makes Bagnoli autonomous. Finally, Invitalia has also started a series of tests on the coast and marine area in preparation for the design.
