Bank of America Continues Branch Closures Across the US

Bank of America Announces Closure of Several Branches Across the United States

Since last year, Bank of America has been closing several of its branches throughout the country, citing a decrease in demand for face-to-face services and the transition to online banking. In 2023, around a hundred establishments were closed, with more closures scheduled for this year.

According to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the closure of establishment 1111 located at EAST MAIN STREET, RICHMOND, VA is scheduled for May 7, 2024. On May 14, 2024, the branch at 7395 MISSION STREET, DALY CITY, CA will also close, followed by the closure of establishment 5485 CAMINO AL NORTE, NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV on May 21st.

In June, the establishment 20708 BOTHELL-EVERETT ROAD, BOTHELL, WA will close on the 11th, and on July 30, the branch at 3565 CALIFORNIA ST, SAN FRANCISCO, CA will close.

Looking ahead to August and September, on August 13, 11060 NE 6TH STREET, SUITE 80, BELLEVUE, WA and 1401 S. HARBOR BOULEVARD, FULLERTON, CA will close. On the 17th of August, closures will occur at 2049 CENTURY PARK ESTE, LOS ANGELES, CA and 455 ISLA AVENUE, SAN DIEGO, CA.

In September, the closure of 5114 SOUTH POWER ROAD, MESA, AZ is scheduled for the 19th, with 29687 EL CAMINO VIEJO, CASTAIC, CA closing on the 24th. Finally, on October 29, Bank of America will close its branch at 13700 JOG ROAD, WEST DELRAY BEACH, FL, followed by the closure of 6261 PGA BOULEVARD, PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL on November 19.

While Bank of America’s closure plans aim to reduce the number of stores due to low demand, this could mean that clients may need to travel longer distances to carry out procedures in person.
