MILANO – Jasmine Vigliotti was appointed new vice president of the European Investment Bank in place of Dario Scannapieco became CEO of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.
Vigliotti, on the proposal of the Italian Ministry of Economy, today received the green light from the EIB board. The Italian also enters the Administrative Committee of the EIB, the de facto executive body of the European financial institution.
“I am sincerely honored for the appointment”, said Vigliotti, underlining how the pandemic crisis “has shown a huge gap, which has emerged in recent years, in investments in infrastructures and digitization. By collecting investments from the public and private sectors, the EIB is the avant-garde to address these market failures and to support innovative projects that are economically sustainable and that aim to improve the world in which we live “.
Vigliotti, a graduate of the Luiss in Rome, earned a Master of Science from the University of York and continued her postgraduate studies at La Sapienza in Rome and the London School of Economics. He held the role of Director General for International Financial Relations of the Mef and represented Italy in the major multilateral development banks.
