MILANO – Brembo closes the first quarter of the year with revenues of over one billion (1,004.6 million), up 4.4% (+5.3% at constant exchange rates) compared to the same period last year. Net profit stood at 75.2 million, a slight decrease of 2.2% compared to 76.8 million in the first quarter of 2023. For the first time “we exceeded the threshold of one billion euros in revenues in a single quarter .
“We enter 2024 with growing results”, says the executive president Matteo Tiraboschi.
The gross operating margin (Ebitda) amounted to 176.8 million (+5.1%). The net operating margin (Ebit) rose to 112.8 million, up 8.5% compared to the 104 million in the first quarter of 2023. Net investments stood at 75.2 million.
In the first three months of the year, almost all the segments in which the group operates showed a positive trend: the automotive sector grew by 5.5%, motorcycle applications by 2%, and racing by 6.3%. compared to the same quarter of 2023; applications for commercial vehicles, on the other hand, showed a slight decline, at -1.1%.
Despite a particularly complex automotive market context, Brembo expects to close the year with moderate growth in revenues, maintaining percentage margins in line with those of 2023.
