Four years after its launch and after more than 260,000 units sold, the restyling of the Citroën C5 Aircross is ready, the crossover also plug-in that kicked off the electrification of the French brand of Stellantis. Model year 2022 will be available later this summer. The aesthetic innovations are concentrated in the front, substantially revised in the mask which now has a more harmonious appearance. The logo is finished in black with chrome edges, while the fascia has been redesigned with a more gritty design, thanks to the side air intakes and those of the radiator at the bottom. Behind the headlights they have a design that accentuates their three-dimensionality. There is also a new color Eclipse Blue and four color combinations for the air intakes and Airbumps. On the other hand, the ground clearance of 230 mm remains unchanged.
The dashboard has been redesigned to make room for the multimedia system with a 10-inch screen that is inspired by that of the C5 X, the flagship of Citroen coming soon. The versions with automatic transmission no longer have the lever replaced by a selector in the central tunnel. The new C5 Aircross offers the Advanced Comfort seats introduced by the C4 and made with a high-density foam for padding and with the massage function and Alcantara upholstery. Whoever sits behind the wheel is faced with a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that provides driving information to which are added 20 assistance systems, including Highway Driver Assist and a Level 2 Adas that matches the active cruise control with Stop & Go and lane departure warning. There are no news regarding the engines and in general not even for the mechanics.
