Cellularline announces the acquisition of 55% of the share capital of Coverlab, an innovative E-commerce company based in Rimini and one of the Italian leaders in the custom segment of smartphone accessories. Through this operation, Cellularline will be able to leverage Coverlab’s innovative know-how and implement advanced promotion and sales strategies for its products also through digital channels. Furthermore, by opening up to the custom segment of smartphone accessories, it will be able to meet the sophisticated needs of a premium market niche and intercept the demand of the new generations. In 2020, its second year of activity, Coverlab generated a turnover of 0.24 million euros (from 0.13 million in 2019) of which about 46% on international markets. In the first quarter of 2021, the growth rate is confirmed to be sustained, approximately + 30%, and a further acceleration is expected during the year thanks to the progressive expansion and depth of the product range. The purchase operation will significantly strengthen Coverlab’s growth path, also in synergy with the commercial capacity of the Group.
