Cirelli cars are probably unknown to most Italian motorists. Certainly not an unprecedented or revolutionary activity, given what DR from Molise has done in recent years with excellent commercial results. And this is where the problem arises: DR signed an exclusivity contract with the Chinese Baic in 2023 for the marketing of its models in Europe. It’s a shame that, as published on the official website, two models sold in Italy by Cirelli are actually produced by Baic.

Baic’s statement on the Cirelli Motors stop released to the press leaves no room for different interpretations. We are writing to inform you that Baic Intl has no connection or partnership with Cmc srl-Cirelli Motor Company. We have become aware that Cmc srl has promoted Baic products under a different name and without our authorization. We would like to point out that we have not authorized any such activity. We have already communicated to Cmc srl to immediately stop any activity relating to the vehicles produced by Baic. Dr Automobiles Groupe and Baic Intl want to ensure that consumers and all interested parties are aware of this situation and that their rights and interests are protected.”
