French airline Corsair aims to soon start direct air links between Brazzaville and Orly Airport in Paris.

According to what was reported by the Congolese media, the launch of the new line to Congo, which opens the market to competition, is considered a counterpart to the purchase by the Congolese state of a stake worth 9.8 billion CFA francs (15 million euro) in the company, which occurred last December. The new route will in fact put an end to Air France’s monopoly on the Brazzaville-Paris route, offering tickets at a more accessible cost to certain social classes.
