Cryptocurrency sentiment: Italians’ interest in Bitcoin is back strong

Bitcoin returns to climb the ranking of preferences among Italian cryptocurrencies. Thus emerges from the latest survey conducted by FinanzaOnLine with T-Voice, a company that deals with opinion mining, sentiment analysis and topic discovery and uses algorithms of artificial intelligence supervised with the aim of offering a precise overview of opinions and feelings shared through web e social network.

The analyzes were conducted on more than 21,500 texts in Italian on the topic “Cripto valute” present on the web and on the main social networks for the period from 17 June to 20 July 2021.
All results are presented net of “off-topic”, that is, without considering those texts that do not contain the topic of interest.

Well, the survey shows a positive sentiment of 60.5% on the part of Italians towards the crypto world, down from 80.36% in the previous survey.

The most relevant discussion topics of the moment in the crypto world? Risk first, followed by investments, value, security and finally blockchain.

The most followed crypto

In detail, the Opinion analysis, which measures the discussion levels of the main cryptocurrencies, indicates that the most discussed crypto is Ethereum (40.93%), followed by Monero at 19.75%, Bitcoin at 14.56% followed by Dogecoin at 13.29%, Ripple at 8.15% and finally Cardano at 3.32%.

A measure of the level of preference among the world‘s major cryptocurrencies is offered by the Web Opinion Index, which ranges from -100 to +100 (Values ​​greater than zero indicate a positive opinion, values ​​less than zero indicate a negative opinion). Here, Bitcoin stands out with a score of 55.05 out of 100, followed by Monero at 49.02, Dogecoin at 43.34, Ethereum at 39.7 and finally Ripple and Cardano, respectively at 26.96 and 21, 64.
