CCTV news:The State Administration of Foreign Exchange announced yesterday (June 30) the latest situation of international trade in goods and services. Data show that in May, my country’s surplus in international trade in goods and services hit a new high for the year.
According to the latest data from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, in May, my country’s international trade in goods and services reached 3.757 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14%; the surplus in international trade in goods and services was 351.4 billion yuan, a new high for the year. Specifically, the surplus in trade in goods was 402.2 billion yuan, and the deficit in trade in services was 50.8 billion yuan.
Wen Bin, chief economist of Minsheng Bank:In May, the resumption of work and production in my country’s major industrial chains accelerated, and the export of goods increased by 17.3% year-on-year, which was the main reason for the increase in the trade surplus. In the next stage, with the further implementation of my country’s policies to support foreign trade, the balance of payments will continue to maintain a healthy trend.
