Poly Intercontinental Hotel in Foshan, Guangdong was the venue for the HOPO Window Control Climate Environment and Customized Doors and Windows Future Development Conference, which successfully took place on July 7. The conference aimed to decode China’s climate and environment while exploring the future of customized doors and windows in response to changing consumer demands.

During the press conference, it was announced that the “Climate Environment and Door and Window Hardware Control Research Institute” would be established by HOPO Window Control. Additionally, the compilation of the White Paper on the Development of the Door and Window Industry was officially launched, signifying a major step towards becoming a leading research and development enterprise specializing in understanding China’s climate and environment.

The opening speeches were delivered by prominent figures including Li Junhong, the chairman of the Guangdong Door Industry Association; Wang Hongtao, the secretary-general of the National Building Curtain Wall Doors and Windows Standardization Technical Committee; Zeng Kui, the chairman of the Guangdong Doors and Windows Association; Xu Shunyou, the chairman of the Jiangsu Doors and Windows Industry Association; Li Zengbang, the chairman of HOPO Window Control; and Yang Huawei, the head of China Construction Expo. Their speeches highlighted the industry’s commitment to high-quality development.

The conference also featured speeches by Ren Yuyu and Zhang Siqi, two senior experts from the National Climate Center, who shared insights on “Climate Risks and Reflections on the Door and Window Industry under the Background of Global Warming.” These presentations emphasized the importance of considering climate factors in the door and window industry.

Li Hongwu, the strategic consultant of HOPO Window Control, outlined the purpose and significance of compiling the white paper. He stressed the need to prioritize energy conservation and human settlement needs in the industry’s focus on climate. The goal of the white paper is to create a livable environment and a better life for users by combining climatic factors and advanced door, window, and hardware technologies.

Following the speeches, the white paper compilation for “China’s Climate Environment and Door and Window Systems and Hardware” was officially launched with the participation of experts and entrepreneurs. Additionally, the “Climate Environment and Door and Window Hardware Control Research Institute” was established under the joint witness of various industry experts and entrepreneurs.

During the conference, the HOPO Window Control Product Center introduced their innovative product, the “outside casement and top-hung aluminum alloy window.” This product combines the advantages of casement windows and single top-hung windows, providing a new door and window system solution that considers regional climate environments. The “outside casement and top-hung aluminum alloy window” not only showcases elegance and performance but also promotes diversified development within the architectural door and window industry.

Experts, such as Mr. Shi Minxiang, chief engineer of the Guangdong Construction Technology and Standardization Association, and Liu Huitao, secretary-general of the Professional Committee of Building Curtain Wall Doors and Windows of China Engineering Construction Standardization Association, analyzed and interpreted the technical characteristics and market prospects of the aluminum alloy window product, providing valuable insights for the audience.

The conference concluded with the official launch of the group standard for “Outside Casement and Top-Hung Aluminum Alloy Windows for Buildings,” marking a significant milestone for the industry.
