Dollar Tree to Close Almost 1,000 Family Dollar Stores
In a recent announcement in its fiscal 2023 fourth quarter earnings report, Dollar Tree revealed its plans to close nearly 1,000 of its Family Dollar stores due to significant underperformance in 2023.
The company stated that approximately 600 Family Dollar stores will be closed in the first half of fiscal year 2024. In addition, around 370 Family Dollar and 30 Dollar Tree stores will shutter over the next few years as their leases expire.
