“The government intends to intervene: it is not good for unvaccinated health workers to be in contact with the sick. Minister Cartabia is taking a measure in this regard ”. Thus the Prime Minister Mario Draghi at a press conference, the day after yesterday’s meeting of the European Council.

Regarding schools, Draghi confirmed that the government intends to reopen schools “up to sixth grade” also in the red areas. Minister Bianchi, the premier informed, “is working to make it happen in an orderly manner and in some cases it will be possible to carry out tests”, even if “talking about global action seems an exaggeration to me”.

Draghi also pointed out, with regard to the Regions, that “there have been choices of governors on school closures that will have to be reconsidered, on the basis of the choice of the government which considers schools to be a primary objective”. Consequently, the government will decide on the schools.
