Stefan Hoops is the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of DWS Group as well as the Head of the Investment Department. He joined DWS in 2003. Hoops, a former top manager at Deutsche Bank, is known for being well connected and is considered a protégé of Deutsche Bank CEO Christian Sewing.

Hoops joined Deutsche Bank Group’s fixed income sales division in 2003. He then worked for Lehman Brothers in Germany between 2006 and 2007.
