Etecsa, the Cuban Telecommunications Company, has launched a new international promotion offering 25 GB of data, free WhatsApp, and up to 2000 CUP in bonuses. The offer is available for customers who receive recharges from abroad and meet certain conditions.
Customers who receive international recharges of between 500 and 1250 CUP will be eligible for the 2000 CUP bonus, as long as they have received international recharges, plans, or promotions in the last 30 days. The promotion is valid from March 11 to 17.
However, there have been complaints from customers on Facebook, with some claiming they did not receive the promised bonuses. Etecsa has clarified that the bonus will only be given to customers who meet all the necessary conditions.
In addition to the 2000 CUP bonus, customers who receive a recharge from abroad will also get 25 GB of data for all networks and free WhatsApp usage 24 hours a day. Another ongoing promotion from Etecsa offers bonuses of 14 GB and unlimited internet for those who recharge between 500 and 1250 CUP.
Customers have expressed their opinions on the promotions, with some highlighting the challenges of the internet connection in Cuba and the lack of offers for local residents. The exchange rate applied by Etecsa is 1 USD = 24 CUP.
