EuroGroup Laminations, a group from Baranzate (Milan) active in the design, production and distribution of stators and rotors for electric motors and generators, with an investment of 50 million euros, inaugurates a new production plant in Querétaro, home of the subsidiary Eurotranciatura Mexico, which in the first months of 2023 recorded revenues of 198 million euros, up 33%.

E-mobility growth

After an initial commitment to production linked to electric vehicles in 2016, the sustained growth recorded in the e-mobility market has pushed EuroGroup Laminations to activate an additional site development program: the new plant adds approximately 10 thousand square meters of surface area to the production park of 21 thousand m2 already present in the country: the production capacity for the EV (electric vehicle) & automotive segment will be doubled in the next two years.

13 factories

The new Querétaro site brings the number of EuroGroup Laminations factories worldwide to 13: seven in Italy, two in Mexico and China, one in the United States and one in Tunisia. It will also be central to the group’s order processing for EV & automotive, “which in October 2023 reached the record figure of 6.4 billion euros”, we read in a company note.

American electricity market

«We are proud to inaugurate the new Mexican plant in Querétaro and thus strengthen our production capacity for the North American EV market for rapid growth to serve orders already received for over 3 and a half billion euros to be delivered between 2024 and 2028 », commented CEO Marco Arduini: «We work on the basis of a growth plan that will allow us to increase production by reducing manufacturing times».
