The biopic will be in theaters in spring 2024 “Back to Black”which will breaking latest news the rise to fame of the British singer Amy Winehouse. The artist will be played by the actress Marisa Abela and all production has been approved by the family of Winehousedied in 2011.
The film is directed by the filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson (“Fifty Shades of Grey”). The British director has already immersed herself in the universe of pop music, since in the beginning she directed video clips for artists such as Elton John o R.E.M and she was the author of another biopic, “Nowhere Boy”about the childhood and adolescence of John Lennon.
As stated by the director herself, the intention behind the film is to honor the life, legacy and music of Amy Winehouse, focusing on his turbulent rise to fame in the London neighborhood of Camden. In addition to an unrecognizable Marisa Abelathe cast is completed Lesley Manville, Jack O’Connell y Eddie Marsan; an all-British cast to transport the viewer to the origins of the icon he became Amy Winehouse.
