Farewell to Riccardo Lenti, Alexandrian businessman and politician

ALESSANDRIA Riccardo Lenti, an Alexandrian businessman and politician, died at the age of 91. Born in Turin in 1930, he graduated with honors in Economics and Commerce from Bocconi in 1954.

After some professional experiences, he started working in Alessandria in the family business (Ricci Argentieri) which he led as CEO from 1960 to 1988.

Councilor of the Industrialists Union, he was vice president of Confedorafi and a member of the Lions Club Host since 1957 (he was also awarded the Melvin Jones honor).

Already a municipal councilor from 1970 to 1974, elected as an independent on a dc list, twenty years later he was a candidate by the Democrats and entered the first provincial council headed by Fabrizio Palenzona in 1994 as Councilor for the Budget; he was confirmed in the second, remaining in office until 2000 when he resigned.
