Federmeccanica has appointed the new president: Federico Visentin

Federico Visentin will be the new president of Federmeccanica. He was nominated as the sole candidate for the presidency by the general council of the federation, which met online, based on the report presented by the nomination commission, after extensive consultation with the members. The election of the new president will take place during the general assembly, which will be held on June 25. Before that, around May 27, the team that will support him will be defined.

Federico Visentin, born in Padua in 1963, former vice president of Federmeccanica with responsibility for education, is delegate for Italy on the board of ESF – European Mollifici Federation – and is president of Cuoa – Business School of Altavilla Vicentina (VI). The first challenge: the implementation of the national collective labor agreement
Visentin will take up the baton from the current president, Alberto Dal Poz elected by the general assembly of Federmeccanica on June 23, 2017, who on February 5 reached an agreement with the trade unions for the renewal of the national contract which involves over 1.5 millions of metalworkers.

In mid-April, the certified consultation of workers was concluded, with 95.23% of yes approved the Hypothesis of agreement for the renewal of the National Collective Labor Agreement signed by Fim-Fiom-Uilm and Federmeccanica-Assistal on February 5th. Among the challenges that the new president will have to face is the implementation of the new contract, together with the management of the numerous corporate crises, but also the use of resources from the Recovery Fund to invest in digitization and ecological transition.
