Ford Motor expands its electric vehicle line with seven new models over the next two years across its range of passenger cars and commercial vans to target sales of more than 600,000 battery-powered vehicles. The U.S. automaker is also doubling its planned investment at its key manufacturing site in Cologne, Germany to make electric vehicles as well as a battery assembly plant to $ 2 billion starting in 2024.
Ford earlier this month took further steps to accelerate its transition to an electric future with the creation of an all-electric unit dubbed the “Ford Model e” and a “Ford Blue” combustion engine division.
