The French economist Jean-Paul Fitoussi died in Paris. Born in La Goulette on August 19, 1942, Fitoussi was a professor at the Institute of Political Studies in Paris (Sciences Po) since 1982 and since 1989 he has chaired the French observatory on economic situations (Ofce), he was also a professor at the Luiss in Rome and member of Columbia University’s Center for Capitalism and Society.
