From Pnrr 1.5 billion to ITS, the post-diploma training course. Cooperation with 9 African countries for the Mattei Plan

The National Recovery and Resilience Plan has given a strong boost to ITS, the usually two-year post-diploma training course. The ITSAcademy Foundations have already received part of the sum allocated to them by the Pnrr which will be 1.5 billion euros. 450 million have been committed by the Foundations for the construction or renovation of innovative laboratories and 700 million are using them to double the number of training courses, encourage orientation activities and establish scholarships. This emerged from today’s discussion between Minister Valditara and the ITS Academy Foundations which took place at the ministry.

ITS – we read in a note – play a crucial role in the field of professional training. Suffice it to say that 80% of graduates find work within a year. Furthermore, the organization of the Foundations into ten different thematic areas – Energy, Sustainable mobility and logistics, Chemistry and new technologies of life, Agri-food system, Home system and built environment, Mechatronics, Fashion system, Services to businesses and non-profit organizations , Technologies for artistic and cultural assets and activities and for tourism and Communication, Information and Data Technologies – contributes to strengthening the ITS Academy system, making it more competitive and innovative. Even on an international level, the ITS system plays a fundamental role. In fact, it participates in the ‘Mattei Plan’ which aims to strategic cooperation with nine African countries: Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mozambique. Various pilot projects are already under construction with African secondary schools for the promotion of teacher training and refresher courses, the launch of professional courses and collaboration with companies, particularly those present abroad.

«We thank Minister Valditara for the great attention he is paying to the ITS Academy system, also through the important reform that establishes the technological-professional training chain and which gives our Foundations an important role. We are convinced that the constant dialogue established will contribute to making the implementation of the PNRR easier while respecting the flexibility of our system and looking to the future with optimism”, commented the president of Rete ITS Italy Guido Torrielli.
