Piazza Affari still under pressure in the aftermath of the ECB. The Ftse Mib, already down by 1.90% yesterday, scores -1.1% at the start at 23,514 points. Yesterday, the ECB left rates unchanged, however indicating its intention to raise rates by 25 basis points in the next meeting in July and another hike will arrive in September with the possibility that it will be higher if inflation remains very high.
The thud of Bper stands out (-5.7% 1.839 euros), which is currently suspended due to an excess of reduction on the control price. BPER has approved the new 2022-2025 business plan “BPER e-volution” which forecasts a net profit of 800 million euros by 2025. The capital position is expected to remain high, with a Fully Phased Cet1 ratio greater than 13% by 2025, supported by the strong generation of profits that will significantly increase the remuneration to shareholders, with a pay-out ratio expected to be 50% in 2025.
Among the banks, Unicredit is also struggling with -2.76%, while Intesa marks -1.87%.
