Generali announces that it has suspended Luciano Cirinà, the group’s manager of Austria and Central Eastern Europe, with immediate effect and until further notice. Giovanni Liverani, responsible for the group’s Germany, takes on the roles of the manager candidate for CEO on the Caltagirone group list for the new board of directors on an interim basis.
“Assicurazioni Generali announces that it has suspended Luciano Cirinà, Austria & Cee (Acee) Regional Officer with immediate effect and until further notice”, reads the note in which the company “specifies that, as communicated to Luciano Cirinà, during the suspension all statutory or contractual obligations deriving from the employment relationship with the Company remain valid, including any responsibility related to the protection of the Company’s confidential information, adherence to all internal rules and policies, including those governing relations with the media, financial analysts, rating agencies, investors and authorities, activities reserved exclusively for functions within the Company. As shared during the meeting held today, Giovanni Liverani, CEO of Generali Deutschland, will take on the role of Acee Regional Officer ad interim with immediate effect », concludes the press release.
Meanwhile, on Friday the strategic program of the Caltagirone group’s slate for the renewal of the Board of Directors will be presented in Milan: Claudio Costamagna and Luciano Cirinà, indicated respectively as candidates for president and CEO in the list, are expected to hold a press conference in the late morning. Previously, the program will be presented to the financial community.
