With these words Romana Liuzzo, President of the Guido Carli Foundation, opened the twelfth edition of the Prize that bears the name of the statesman and founding father of the European monetary union. He did so by illustrating the proposal – made to the world of politics and institutions – to celebrate the National Rebirth Day on 18 September: a symbolic date of the economic and social restart, six months after the Day of Remembrance of the victims of Covid, celebrated in memory of the night of the trucks along the streets of Bergamo. To open the ceremony, the exhibition – on the stage of the Sala Sinopoli of the Auditorium Parco della Musica – of the Medal of the President of the Republic, destined by the Head of State Sergio Mattarella as a representation award at the twelfth edition. Gianni Letta, Honorary President of the Foundation, opened the works of an edition characterized among other things by the novelties in the composition of the jury, enriched by the presence of the two new entries: Lavinia Biagiotti, CEO and president of Biagiotti Group, and Gennaro Sangiuliano, director of Tg2. He also had the task of reading the message sent by the President of the Senate, Elisabetta Casellati who spoke of “a prestigious event dedicated to the memory of one of the most authoritative and brilliant personalities of our time”.
