The first 24 managers graduated in digital transformation from the Competence Industry Manufacturing 4.0 (CIM4.0) arrive. There are CEOs, managers and managers of industrial innovation among the first 24 graduates of the CIM4.0 Academy, the advanced training course of the Competence Center made up of the Polytechnic and the University of Turin together with 23 industrial partners, from Stellantis to Leonardo to Avio Aero , Eni, Michelin, Siemens, SKF Industrie, Stmicroelectronics and Tim, just to name a few.
The advanced training course (which will restart in the coming weeks with a new class) is dedicated to all workers, including those who are in the process of relocation, and aims to train people capable of guiding and managing the digital transformation of businesses. As Luca Iuliano, president of CIM4.0 explains, “in a period like the current one, having the right skills to strategically and operationally support companies in their digital transformation process is fundamental not only with a view to sustainable industrial growth but also in terms of terms of international competitiveness “.

The course took place over 5 months that were dedicated to upskilling and reskilling with a view to 4.0 and involved 24 people, including 19 senior professionals and 5 fellows, 2 of whom have already found a new job. The 350 hours of advanced training were divided between classroom, face-to-face and virtual mode, due to the pandemic, and laboratories. This second part was carried out on the two CIM pilot lines, namely Digital Factory and Additive Manufacturing Metal and in the technological excellence centers of the consortium companies, made available to them. The 24 who became managers of the digital transition come mainly from the mechanical and service industry and were accompanied during the 350 hours by 42 Technical Fellows, 28 University Professors, Tutors dedicated to individual participants and 5 Business Mentors. The intensive training program focused on language, technological knowledge and application: the laboratory hours were aimed at carrying out 5 innovation projects, which can be tested directly in the companies involved, namely Avio-Aero, Stellantis and Mixed, a SME specialized in industrial components.
