Helga Baechler, an employee from Switzerland, decided during the first Corona year to quit her commercial job and focus on the stock market instead.
Her bank waved her out again with a laugh because of her starting capital of around 5,300 euros. So she invested with online brokers on her own. With success: three and a half years later, she has a six-figure portfolio.
During the corona pandemic, Helga Baechler realizes that she is under-challenged in her job as a commercial employee. The Swiss woman no longer feels valued and wants a change. From one day to the next she decides, as she herself says, that she “want[s]to be rich.”
Your clear goal: increase money and fill the portfolio so that you can later live off the distributions. “I dreamed of an annual dividend flow and that I could use the distributions to treat myself to luxury trips,” she tells Business Insider.
“My bank laughed at me and sent me away”
In her research, the then 38-year-old came across the “passive income thanks to dividends” earning model. She remembers: “That’s exactly what I wanted: to gradually replace my income with dividends.”
