Once it could happen to remain hanging by the thread, now reality betrays you because the thread is not there. Or the cable, to be precise. The Fiaip real estate Observatory reveals that, in the data relating to 2021, it discovers a growing desire to buy a house in the villages. To dictate it, is the increasingly widespread desire to work in less crowded, quieter places with a higher quality of life also from an environmental point of view. It is the lockdown effect that has amplified the availability of remote employment. The statistics reveal a + 30% of requests. But the fact that freezes the veins is that only one in four negotiations materialize. The villages are often disconnected. The problem is the absence of digital infrastructures (such as optical fiber, essential for working remotely) and, in general, of services. In short, disconnected idylls. But as good as it is to escape the maddening crowd, few accept living disconnected. It may not be romantic, but the Internet is a right that, in Italy, is often one of those that cannot be affirmed. And not just outside the cities.
