Svenja Rehm rents out holiday apartments on Amrum. At the same time, she and her husband run a holiday rental agency on the North Sea island.
The 44-year-old plans to increasingly invest in real estate worldwide. Her first investments are a luxury villa in Bali and an apartment in Panama.
The couple became aware of the Bali object through an Instagram post. Rehm paid around 250,000 euros for the land and building.
When Svenja Rehm was still a child, she often spent her holidays in Amrum with her grandparents. Today, the 44-year-old and her husband own three properties on their favorite North Sea island, where the two also run a holiday rental agency. “We now have five holiday apartments on Amrum, but we are gradually trying to sell our German properties,” Rehm tells Business Insider.
While the domestic real estate market used to be of particular interest to the Rehms, the couple now wants to expand internationally. “We want to distribute our capital worldwide,” she says. “We won’t be buying any more for our own use for the time being. We are more flexible when we rent.” Rehm also emigrated to Mallorca a few weeks ago.

At the same time, the couple is currently having two properties built outside of Europe. A luxury villa in Bali and an apartment in Panama. “I was on an investor trip to Panama for the first time last year,” says Rehm. However, she didn’t find anything at the time.
